Little Sprouts for children 2-5 to attend with their parent or caregiver.
Play outside, in the winter, you’re joking right? No we are not! Little Sprouts is proud to present our winter session schedule. Following along with the Norwegian and Scandinavian philosophy of Friluftsliv, we will continue on our journey in environmental education, to facilitate a true connectedness to the more-than-human world through the winter months. Remember there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing. Our class time will consist of outdoor activities as well as indoor activities in The Cider Barn. This gives our Little Sprouts friends opportunities to explore outside but also have a space to warm up if needed.
The themes for the winter session are announced until the week of class. The weather changes and the possibility of snow makes it difficult to plan this far in advance. Class will be held from 10:30am-12:00 pm. Any classes canceled due to inclement weather or staff illness, will be rescheduled at the end of the session. If weather conditions are unsafe for travel or extreme, class will be rescheduled. We are not able to offer refunds for classes missed by Little Sprouts families, for any reasons.
Little Sprouts fosters a love of nature in young children as they explore and make discoveries through each season on the farm. Children and their grownups engage in activities to deepen awareness and appreciation of stewardship and farm life.
