Bring Your Preschooler to Snipes Farm This Winter for a Memorable Outdoor Adventure
At Little Sprouts, discover the “friluftsliv” and beauty of peaceful winds and crunching snow.
Friluftsliv, den filosofiske livsstilen basert på friluftsliv. No, you are not losing your mind. Yes, this is written in Norwegian. Friluftsliv is the beautiful Nordic concept of a lifestyle outdoors, in all weather. The Norwegian saying of “There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes”, rings into the very heart of our program. Winter holds so much wonder and doesn’t get as much love as our other seasons. There is beauty in the bare trees, the crunching of snow under your boots (fingers crossed for snow!) and the peaceful secrets the wind blows to us. Additionally, the health benefits to ourselves and our children are fantastic. Having outdoor playtime in winter boosts our children’s immunity and gives them a healthy dose of vitamin D. The simple act of being outside improves our children’s cognitive function and alertness.
Our Little Sprouts Crew will guide you through 6 weeks of winter fun!
Our space will look a little different during winter. There are portable heaters for anyone needing a warmup during class. We also provide a warm beverage to share.
Because of the nature of winter and unpredictable snow amounts, we will release the themes each week. The themes for the winter session are announced the week of class. The weather changes and the possibility of snow makes it difficult to plan this far in advance.
We will host 6 weeks of class 4 days a week. Join Ms. Nicole, Ms. Sue, Ms. Mary Kay and Ms. Brittany while they adventure on the farm. Tuesday and Wednesday classes are from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. Thursday and Friday classes are from 10 am - 11:30 am. The fee for the 6 weeks is $150 per child over the age of 2.
