Title: Marketing Manager for NonProfit
Reports to: Executive Director
Full Time: 40 hours/week (M-F with some flexibility for nights, weekends, and events that require the Marketing Manager’s attendance.)
Salary: $35,000/year to start
Opportunity: The individual hired for this position will enjoy a unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of building a modern marketing/communications program for Snipes Farm and Education Center (SFEC), a nonprofit devoted to sustainable farming and related activities, including a children’s camp, a CSA program, and hunger relief. The Marketing Manager will increase awareness of, engagement with, and support for the mission and programs of SFEC by managing all aspects of a robust marketing/communications program.
Responsibilities:
1.Management: Implements the SFEC Marketing/Communications (MarCom) Plan to meet its goals and objectives. Coordinates marketing-related efforts of other SFEC employees. Works closely with outside consultant in development of a new Strategic Marketing/Communications Plan. Serves as liaison to the Marketing and Communications Committee of the Board.
2. Social Media: Executes and manages tactical and strategic social media activities across all SFEC platforms.
3. Brand Awareness: Understands and promotes awareness of the SFEC brand in all marketing and social media activities.
4. Market Research: Conducts market research to identify and advocate for marketing opportunities.
5. Measurement: Tracks and analyzes the results of all marketing activities. Translates data and analysis into quarterly reports to support decision-making by management and Board leaders.
6. Earned Media: Reaches out to news media, prepares news releases for review and approval coordinates efforts to secure media interest in SFEC activities, and responds to media inquiries.
7. Paid Media: Negotiates media buying and manages paid-media relationships.
Skills/Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, and/or public relations and related fields. • Demonstrated experience in developing, executing and measuring social media strategies through internships or other work experience. • Strong knowledge of marketing platforms, especially social media. • Knowledge of marketing trends and techniques • Ability to measure results of MarCom activities and convert data into meaningful analysis. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects. • Takes initiative, innovates and can work independently. • Team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Hoot Suite or social media management platforms, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
Physical Requirements: Occasional participation in farming activities, public events, education programs as needed based on the work demands of the organization in all types of weather year-round.
Work Environment: Combination of office and outside work.

Title: Summer Camp Counselor
Who We Are
Snipes Farm Day Camp is located on 80 beautiful acres of a 7-generation, USDA certified organic farm and is a part of the 501c3 nonprofit of Snipes Farm and Education Center.
Children and youth explore the creek, gardens, orchard and fields and make amazing discoveries learning from nature. They tend a garden and care for animals. They harvest berries, fresh veggies and herbs and make yummy recipes. Weekly themes, art, games and science bring the learning alive. Lasting friendships are made and community is built together with staff, campers and families. Our priority is physical, emotional and social safety as an inclusive community. We follow Covid-19 prevention practices provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Camping Association.
A love of the outdoors and a passion for working with children and youth are essential. Staff training provides educational frameworks and resources for success and builds a caring community ready for adventures with children on Snipes Farm!
Snipes Farm Day Camp runs for 8 weeks: June 21- August 12, 2022
A required staff training is: June 13-17, 2022
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Plan and direct the activities for a group of 15-17 campers with the support of a Co-counsleor, a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) and the Camp Directors
Collaborate on curriculum development to meet the needs of a particular age group
Mentor the CIT's leadership skills with additional support provided by the camp directors
Maintain an environment of emotional and physical safety including standard Covid-19 prevention practices
Build community and team spirit within your group
Help to maintain a pleasant, safe, and tidy campus
Model compassion, curiosity, and enthusiasm!
