Birding for Beginners with Pam Newitt (Virtual Lecture and Guided Walk)

Have you wanted to learn more about the birds in our area, but didn’t know where to start? Join naturalist Pam Newitt for a fun, informative evening that will introduce you to the world of birding. She will cover observation skills, field markings, bird behavior and songs. She will introduce you to some of the tools of birdwatching such as binoculars, field guidebooks and phone apps (which is better?).  Additionally, she will discuss bird feeders and seed.

Those interested in going out into the field will have the opportunity to join Pam at Snipes Farm the following Sunday March 19 for a leisurely walk to hone our skills and practice what we learned the Thursday before. We will also check out our new bird blind!  Please bring binoculars with you if you have them.
