What is CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between a local farm and their community of supporters. Supporters help cover a farm's yearly operating budget by purchasing a share of the season's harvest. In other words, when you purchase a share of our CSA, you become a member of the Snipes Farm team! It is only with the support of the community that we could accomplish our goal of sustainable and organic farming. With your support comes a bounty of fruits & vegetables. With their initial payment, CSA members help assume the costs, risks, and bounty of growing food.

How is this different from a grocery store?

Once you buy a share of our CSA, you have bought a share of the produce that is grown at the farm! Each week, you can come to Snipes Farm and pick up the produce that was selected by our farmers. Unlike a grocery store, our produce is as fresh as possible. It is only through a CSA that you can know exactly where, how, and by whom your fruits and vegetables are grown.

  • For your family of 1-2 we recommend the $200 share
  • Family of 2-3 the $400 share
  • Family of 4-5 the $700 share
