We are looking for volunteers for field projects on weekdays, Saturdays 9-1, and Sunday afternoons. Please contact us if you are available! Students, retirees, and families are welcome.
Fall and Winter Volunteer Activities:
November-January: Decorate the big red barn for the holidays. Sort, pack, and clean vegetables for our food delivery. Place weed control straw mats in the field.
September: Lend a hand as we make and install 100 scarecrows. Harvest apples in the orchard.
October: Serve as a tour guide in the museum, greenhouses, with animals, or help at the bakery.
Field projects
Our hardworking farm crow could certainly use your help with a variety of projects. You can work on our nature trail, children's garden, apple orchard, and vegetable fields.
Volunteers support our small staff on a big mission: to make the community a more healthy and empowered place through sustainable farming and education. There are volunteer opportunities for individuals, corporate groups, and youth groups.
Help us with tasks on the farm as we prepare the fields for planting. Help the apple orchard produce fruit, and enjoy the camaraderie and the great outdoors together! When volunteering, we recommend dressing for outdoor weather (and dirt) with warm boots and work gloves.
Vegetable Delivery
We are looking for someone to volunteer a couple of times a week, to deliver our organic vegetables to local churches, senior centers, and shelters. 4-hours a week in total maximum. The vehicle will be our 15-passenger van. A personal vehicle driver's license will be fine. All delivery locations are less than 15 minutes (one-way) from our farm. It is optional if you want to help with loading and unloading with the staff. If you prefer to do it once a week, that's good too!
