Snipes Farm Day CampSnipes Day Camps Registration FormSnipes Farm Day Camp for Children ages 6-11
Campers at Snipes Farm Day Camp get into the rhythm of farm life. Every day begins with farm chores and cooking. Activities through the day take campers to the fields, woods and stream and find what lives and grows there. Singing, theater and crafts in big and small groups bring variety and zest to the day. Stewardship is at the heart of all that we do - learning how to take good care of the Earth and each other. We recycle and compost and learn from inspired farmers about sustainable farming. All camp activities encourage cooperation and compassion and everyone makes special farm camp friends. And we have a lot fun along the way! Camp Activities Can Include: Picking berries and making smoothies Discovering where bugs, lizards, toads and worms dwell Creating nature-inspired art projects Making music through singing and percussion Taking a walk in the woods Having fun with theater games and puppetry Making interesting scientific discoveries by conducting fun experiments Learning circus skills - juggling, plate spinning and stilt walking Baking muffins and cobblers Surprise "Theme Day" events. ![]() Camp runs from June 25th-August 17th (though no camp the week of July 2nd). The day begins at 8:30AM and ends at 3:30PM with extended day care available. Campers enjoy healthy snacks every day, but will need to bring their own lunch. Little SproutsClick here for information on our Little Sprouts camp program.Parent Testimonials"I especially want to thank you all for creating a wonderful camp experience for Emma. You made it peaceful, comfortbale and easy for all of us. We loved hearing about her days at the farm. Emma said, 'I had a lot of fun and we made and cooked a lot of things that were very, very yummy!'" ![]() William loves your camp. When I ask him each year if he would like to go back he always says “YES, mommy!” He loves the animals he gets to tend to and hold. He loves being out doors to explore nature. He has enjoyed seeing where food comes from and helping to grow and harvest. He loves the crafts – creating art out of found and recycled objects is thrilling to him. I think he really enjoys the other kids, too. They are not his neighborhood or school buddies, but they share his of love of the camp and its activities so they all get along well. I think this is an excellent camp for boys! ![]() Kate had a wonderful experience at camp. She loved the outdoor activities and making new recipes with ingredients from the farm, and she liked to arrive early in the mornings just to have extra time interacting with all the animals. We would definitely send Kate to Snipes Farm Camp again next summer!
