About Snipes Farm and Education Center

As farmland disappears under sprawl, and evidence mounts about the breakdown of natural systems that support life on earth, small groups of people are coming together to envision a new way forward. One such group is the dedicated board, staff and volunteers of Snipes Farm and Education Center.

Snipes Farm and Education Center's mission is to model and teach sustainable farming, while building community and reconnecting people to the land. Founded in 2008, Snipes Farm and Education Center's "outdoor classroom" is located on 25 acres of the historic Snipes Farm in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. Believing in the power of nature and community to heal and teach, the present generation of the Snipes family, the 11^th to farm in Lower Bucks County, has offered the use of its land for the establishment of a 501c3 not-for-profit educational resource: Snipes Farm and Education Center. We envision a world where everyone has access to healthy food, open space and the experience of farming, where local economies are strengthened by the preservation of small farms, and where priority is given to sustaining the earth and its natural resources.
